Elevated Living, Thoughtfully Built

When our clients first partnered with Paramount Builders, their life looked a little different.

A few years ago, we completed a full remodel on a home they had purchased. At the time, the layout worked. The location worked. The priorities worked.

But life evolves.

With two kids now in the picture, their needs shifted. It was no longer just about beautiful finishes. It was about flow. It was about intentional gathering spaces. It was about private work areas. And it was about finding the right location to support the next season of life.

Client Goals and Lifestyle Needs

Before design even began, we met on site to walk the land together. We discussed orientation, sunlight, and how to capture the gorgeous views from as many spaces as possible.

The goal was clear: Design a home that feels connected to its surroundings while functioning seamlessly for a growing family.

In our first office meeting, they shared what mattered most:

  • Spaces for the family to spend meaningful time together

  • Separate, private office spaces for each of them

  • A layout designed specifically for their lifestyle

  • A home that would serve them long term

They did not come in with floor plans. In today’s world, that is uncommon. Instead, they brought a collage of Pinterest images that captured the feeling they wanted and how they envisioned each space functioning.

That level of trust allowed our team to design a truly custom home, shaped by conversation and tailored to their specific site rather than adapted from an existing plan.

Design Choices and Custom Details

By the second office meeting, we presented full plans along with interior renderings to help them visualize the finished home. The response was immediate. They loved it.

The home as built reflects that original vision with only minor revisions.

One of the most impactful early decisions was the placement of the garage. We proposed relocating the overhead doors to the back of the home instead of the front elevation. This decision:

  • Enhanced the architectural presence of the front façade

  • Positioned the driveway on the west side for improved sun exposure and reduced winter ice

On many city lots, this would not be possible. With the amount of land available, we were able to design more intentionally and maximize both aesthetics and functionality.

Additional custom features include:

  • Expansive west facing windows in the great room, kitchen, primary bedroom, and primary bath

  • A cantilevered balcony off the primary suite

  • An open staircase framed by large south facing windows

  • Built in cabinetry in the dining area and both offices

  • A Murphy bed in one office, allowing it to double as a guest bedroom

  • A spacious main floor laundry room with two sets of washers and dryers

  • A laundry chute from the second floor for everyday convenience

Every decision was rooted in how this family lives on a daily basis.

Construction Coordination and Execution

Homes of this level require consistent communication and alignment.

From architectural planning to interior design selections to subcontractor coordination, our team worked closely with trusted partners to ensure the final product reflected the original intent.

Maintaining the vision throughout construction is not accidental. It requires discipline, oversight, and a collaborative process.

The Finished Result

The finished home feels open, intentional, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Natural light fills the main living spaces. The layout balances togetherness and privacy. The views are visible from the spaces where they will be enjoyed most.

From the functional laundry design to the architectural presence of the exterior, this home supports both everyday life and long term growth.

What Makes This Project Uniquely Paramount

This home is a true team effort.

At Paramount Builders, sales, architectural design, interior design, and project management work together under one roof. That integration allows us to:

  • Design specifically for each lot

  • Preserve architectural integrity

  • Coordinate efficiently throughout construction

  • Deliver a streamlined and thoughtful client experience

The result is more than a custom build. It is a home designed around real life, created through collaboration, and built with purpose.
